Deleting your data

Delete from inside the app (fastest)
One recording or one visit — open it, use the ⋯ menu, choose delete, confirm. The audio, transcript, summary, extracted terms, to-dos, Ask history, attachments and — if you saved one — the visit's location are removed.
Your whole account — Settings → Account → Delete account. We email you a code to confirm it is really you, then delete everything: your recordings and everything derived from them, your notes and documents, your email address and your settings. You are signed out everywhere and the app returns to its first-launch state. Exactly three content-free records remain, described below.
This cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore your data afterwards. Export or share anything you want to keep first.
What happens after you delete

| Kept | Three content-free records. (1) A record that the deletion happened, so we can prove we honoured your request. (2) Your consent history: for each consent only its kind, whether it was granted or withdrawn, the language, the timestamp, and the text version with a fingerprint of the exact wording, which a grant always carries and a withdrawal carries only where a text was shown. We keep it so we can prove what was agreed if a legal claim is ever raised. It is stored under a cryptographic code derived from your email address with a secret key we hold; without that key it identifies nobody, and we can match it only against an email address its owner shows us. (3) If you ever sent us a data request by email, the fact and dates of that request, stored the same way, so we can prove we answered in time. None of these contains a recording, a transcript, a name or an email address |
Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. Use Settings → Account → Delete account, or write to scribe@dehaze.de from your registered email address and we do it within 30 days.
Your other rights
Write to [[PRIVACY_EMAIL]] from your registered address to get a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to processing, or ask any question about how it is handled. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to a supervisory authority — in Brazil the ANPD, in Germany [[COMPETENT_SUPERVISORY_AUTHORITY]].
